Procedure
There are three types of body belt plasty surgeries:
- Lower Body Lift: A lower body lift is a surgical procedure that helps in contouring the thighs, hips, and buttocks and, helps in treating Cellulite. Many patients choose to combine their lower body lift with an abdominoplasty or a mid-body lift.
- Upper Body Lift: A torsoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure to remove fat and skin from the arms, breasts, and abdomen. When performed together, an arm lift and breast lift are known as an upper body lift. These surgeries can also be performed separately or during a mid or lower body lift.
- Total Body Lift: A combination of lower and upper body lift.
Getting back to normal
Belt plasty is a procedure that may require significant recovery time. The amount of time that it takes to recover from a belt plasty can vary between patients. Most patients require two to three weeks before they can begin light exercise. In general, it can take up to two months before you feel completely recovered.
