A Neck Lift, also known as Sub mental Lipectomy, reduces fullness under the chin. It can make your neck appear more youthful and reduce sagging that occurs due to inherited characteristics or the effects of ageing.

Procedure

It is a cosmetic procedure performed on an outpatient basis, with local or general anaesthesia. An incision is made under the chin, followed by fat removal or suction. Muscles are tightened and a small amount of skin may be removed.

Getting back to normal

After neck lift surgery, patients are discharged with bandages around the chin and neck area. The bandages are removed within two days. Oral medications are prescribed to help control any soreness or discomfort. Swelling and bruising would disappear after a period of about two weeks, at which point the results of the surgery become evident.
