Nipple Correction Surgery is a procedure for women with puffy Areola and/or inverted nipples. Most cases of inverted nipples are congenital, but in some cases, nippled get inverted after breastfeeding when there is not enough skin at the base of the nipple or when scar tissue builds in the milk ducts.
Procedure
The nipple correction surgery is performed as an outpatient procedure, under general anaesthesia. This procedure takes place around the Nipple-Areola complex. Complete correction of milk ducts may require division.
Getting back to normal
The recovery is usually uneventful. It may take upto 4 weeks to recover completely and return to normal activities.
